Thoughts

Yo Yo was the best cook around the house. She was also was the best at board games. She loved the wheel of fortune and even had a little game for it. She was always nice and never mean. She was the best great-grandmother in the universe.

Welcome Home When I am gone, please don’t cry; let me go. I have so many things to see and do. I have never dreamed I would do them without you. Please don’t tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy that we’ve had our years. I gave you my love, you can only guess, How much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, But now it’s time I travel on alone. So, grieve for me if you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It’s only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories in your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on. If you need me call and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll always be near. And if you listen with your heart you will hear, All my love around you soft and clear. Then you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and welcome you home!

May 14, 2000 Dear Mom, Mom, you are very special to me. I don’t know if I can express in words how I truly feel about you. You have evolved from the role of mother to that of a best friend. You have always been there for me . . . from the time I was a tiny tot to my mid-life crises years. You have listened to my tales of woe with a sympathetic ear and shared my joys with enthusiasm and love. You are my confidant, best friend, shopping partner, master chef, travel companion, gambling buddy . . . most of all, my MOTHER! You have always given me unconditional love, never any strings attached. For all these qualities you are loved with all my heart. Your daughter, Monica
